Establishment of the Hokkaido Organization for Translational Research (Participating universities: Hokkaido University, Sapporo Medical University, Asahikawa Medical University) The Dean of Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, Kenichi HONMA assumed the chair as the executive director. Launch of the first stage of the program, “Coordination, Support and Training Program for Translational Research”

2010

January 27 (Wed)	The 3rd symposium of the All Hokkaido Translational Research Project for Advanced Medicine and establishment of a Medical Center
March 6 (Sat)	Participated in the meeting to review the 2009 accomplishments
April 1 (Thu)	Section in charge of the HTR transferred to Hokkaido University from Hokkaido University School of Medicine. The president of Hokkaido University, Hiroshi SAEKI assumed the chair as the executive director. Consultation services on biostatistics started for registered medical institutions in Hokkaido.

October 1(Wed)	Organizational change Hokkaido University: Closed the Center for Translational Research, Hokkaido University, Established the “Hokkaido University Hospital Clinical Research and Medical Innovation Center” by integrating the Translational Research and Clinical Trial Center Sapporo Medical University: Established the “Center for Clinical Research”, which administers the Sapporo Medical University Hospital Collaboration Center for Community and University and the Sapporo Medical University Clinical Trial Center
