The “Gold Marker Insertion Kit” medical equipment is now covered by health insurance effective June 1st, 2012. This equipment is used for cancer treatment when employing the image-guided radiation therapy and Tumor Following Radiation Therapy techniques which were researched and developed by Professor Shirato.
